A nice day in winter. We then, are all tempted to climb on the bike, for a couple of hours are we not?
But even when the roads are dry, in winter there are still remnants of the salt on it. This salt is ruining the outlook of the aluminum parts on our bike engine, forks and frame.
Cleaning these corroded parts is rather disappointing. A lot of products are on the market, but they perform below expectations.
From a bike dealer in Finland, I got the results of a test. Finland? Why Finland? Well my friend, because they have rather severe winters over there.
The result astonishes.
With a well known product out of the market the result is as experienced after previous winters.
Now CRC brings a product on the market called Inox Kleen. Indeed a cleaner for stainless steel. And I know, the engine, forks and frame of our bike is seldom made of stainless steel. Even so, spraying this foamy product on, brushing it out and flush with clear tap water. You get a dreamlike result. Works even well on plastic coves and pained parts.
